Bayelsa CP Orders Raid On Flashpoints

As part of efforts to confront security challenges associated with the ember months the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, CP Tolani Alausa has ordered Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) under his Command to constantly raid flash points and other criminal hideouts in the state.

The Commissioner of Police equally charged DPOs and Tactical Commanders to intensify surveillance and patrols in the nooks and crannies of the state, and to be on alert at all times.

According to a statement signed by the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Asinim Butswat and made available to New Waves on Friday, September 8, 2023,

“the Commissioner of Police CP Tolani Alausa has charged Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and other operatives to constantly raid flash spots and criminal hideouts, intensify surveillance and patrols in the nooks and crannies of the state, and be on alert at all times”.

The statement, which noted that the Bayelsa State Police Command has rejigged its security architecture, said the Commissioner reaffirmed that the Command is determined and committed to ensuring public safety and reducing crime to the barest minimum in the state.
