Chieftaincy Title Bestow On Okah as Oworu-evie-Ibe 1 of Okordia -Zarama

A security chieftaincy title has been
 conferred on Dr.Okah Alfonso Guinea as the Ibe-Ebidouowei 1 (Oworu-evie-Ibe 1) of Okordia-Zarama in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State for his contributions for the promotion of peace in the clan.
The chieftaincy tittle which was awarded by HRH King Ready Niono, as the King of Zarama Kingdom to award the first chieftaincy title to an illustrious son of Okordia-Zarama Kingdom, was carried out at the Zarama Youth Auditorium Hall on Sunday.
In his welcome address, the King of Zarama Kingdom, HRH King Ready Niono, said the award on Dr Okah did not came on a platter of gold but for his hard work, love, contributions and his philanthropic nature which geared towards promoting peace and stability in the area.
While mentioning some of Okah’s achievements, He recapped how in 2023 and 2024, Okah stopped the nefarious activities of herdsmen terorising the people was brought to a halt, through the professional Forest Hunters he brought.
King Niono, thanked him and pray he continues the good works, and further appealed to the chairman elect, the member representing the federal constituency in the area, the Bayelsa Central Senator to all ensure the services of the Professional Forest Hunters are engaged permanently to secure all entry and exit routes in the Local Government Area.
Elated Dr Okah Alfonso Gunea, after being coronated, said he’s happy that his people recognizes his contributions to them and promised not to relent but to do more, while quoting the popular adage that to whom much is given much his expected.
He said the philanthropic nature of him, has been right from his childhood as he saw given and helping people has an integral part of him coupled with the condition of his people motivated him on ensuring he provides for his people.
He further promised to collaborate with other well meaning individuals in the various communities to alleviate the plight of the people so as to take the kingdom to a greater height.
His words ” Am happy that my people recognized the little that have done for them, and there’s this saying that to whom much his given much is expected, this is a call for duty, it means I have to do more, it means I have to work harder so am happy.
“Right from my youth some people use to call me Jesus Christ because of my behavior, have always been a philanthropist, I love given, in terms of my people condition, they say charity begins at home, so am motived, I hate seeing people suffering.
For the the Yenagoa Chairman Elect, Hon Boloudisiyi Ndiwari, who thanked Dr Okah, for the giant stride, called on others to emulate him, as he took cognizance to the fact that security is everyone’s business, hence shouldn’t be left in the hands of government alone.
He further advised people to be proactive and not reactional so as to nip certain things on bud before they manifest, adding that ” So I think well meaning individuals should support this worthy cause.
“Today Okah has been recognized others should join him, it’s not only just about the recognition because if we lost any life in this area,its a lost to the entire constituency and Local Government , so we should contribute in securing our area”.
On his part, Okilomu Ibe lll, of Engene ethnic nationality, His Royal majesty, King Moore MacLean Ubuo, who was represented by the Paramount Ruler Edagberi & Betterland Community, HRH Amb Sunny Jacob Ubele, harped on the need to recognize people that have contributed meaningful well to society so they can do more.
He described the chieftaincy title on Dr Okah, as a testament of his good work while calling on others to imbibe the spirit of goodwill and shun selfish greedy act for the betterment of the nation at large.
